It was such an honor to meet new CDC Director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, and photographer Annie Leibovitz at the very start of 2021. (Read the Vogue article here.) I’m credited for hair and makeup but it should really just be grooming – Dr. Walensky showed up looking flawless, and I was just thrilled to be along for the ride.
It was particularly heartwarming to witness her colleagues at Mass General give her an emotional sendoff, especially in the midst of such a chaotic time for healthcare professionals. Within days of the shoot, Dr. Walensky started her new job in Atlanta.
